Da building of, the biggest-ever 3D printed building in Europa, specifically in Heidelberg, Germany. It’s kind of important to just mention that it started on the 31st of March and should probably finish by the end, late July maybe!!
This complex construction project, well, it’s quite long you know, it’s around 55 meters in length, 11 meters, just a bit wide and 9 meters high I guess. And this very building, is purposed, for housing a couple of computer servers.
Unveiled the Largest 3D printed construction in Europe
Very interestingly, however, 3D printing had been used, for the creation of its walls. That construction activity took about 140 hours, and it used a kind of environmentally-friendly concrete, recyclable!!. These materials have been recycled to make such concrete substances, and it got specifically designed for the role of printers. while it boasts a carbon, footprint that’s a whopping 55% lesser than, what’s traditional Portland cement.
By mid-July, all the concrete had been poured from the printer. Just worth pointing out, however, that between the two, 3D printed wall layers, which are inside and outside, reinforced concrete of the classic variety was the plan to be used. So that the static requirements are peacefully met!

Thanks to this, extraordinary technology, the intended building can now have a wave-like structure – sort of a curtain, yes, something that traditional building methods were not what you call possible.
The last area is not without mention. It’s the interior, of the building will be adorned with paint. But guess what, it’s a robotic painter to the task! Intricacy of the design was however an afterthought. Now, isn’t it the future we’re talking about, isn’t it?
